Anybody that knows me knows I love and adore TOMS! They are casual, chic, simple, and for every pair you buy, a pair is donated to someone in need! Other purchases also help to empower people and communities all over the world including clean water, safe births, and restoring sight and vision.
To raise awareness for children’s health and education, TOMS is having an event from May 5th to 21st. Instagram your bare feet with the hashtag #withoutshoes and TOMS will give a new pair of shoes to a child in need, NO PURCHASE NECESSARY! You can check back at TOMS on May 21st to see how many shoes you helped to give.
Although you do not have to make a purchase to give a shoe in this event, I would encourage you to take a look at what TOMS has to offer. I was hesitant at first to purchase my first pair of TOMS, it was canvas and I wasn’t sure how durable that would be. I tried it on at the store and walked a couple steps…SOLD. They were extremely comfortable! No chaffing, no blisters, no need to break in. The canvas left room for my toes to wiggle ad breathe. The sole was hard enough for stability and support but soft enough for my steps. As a nurse, I can walk for long durations with them! Yay yay! ^_^ I personally love them for their comfort and the simple casual style works for a lot of my outfits as well.
Therefore, when it was time for me to purchase my son his first walking shoes…TOMS. He is a particular child and would tell me if his socks are folded, if his toes weren’t positioned correctly, or if his shoes were too tight. We have bought him a pair of TOMS each time he needed a new shoe size and we have had no problems (Even when we ventured to other brands, we eventually ended back up with TOMS). He loves them and they have endured all the running, tripping, ball kicking, and sneaky chewing when I wasn’t looking. And my daughter isn’t walking yet, but…guess who those pink TOMS pictured above are for? Yep, I’m prepared. 😛
Thanks for reading and please partake in the instagram event. Give a shoe to someone! ^_^
