All parents know that with a child in tow, our choices of venues can be limited. Is the restaurant kid friendly? Do they have high chairs? Is there anything on the menu my child might eat? Is the park stroller friendly? Is there a place for children to play or things that they might like to look at? So whenever I find a new place to visit other than the mall, I get super excited.
Lately, we (the babies and I) have been taking great-grandpa to his heart therapy sessions so he can do exercises while being monitored by medical staff. Instead of roaming the hospital hallways or watching a movie in the car while we wait, we have been spending some time here at the Japanese Garden in Hermann Park (Houston, TX). It’s such a huge park that I have yet to explore it completely, but this garden is just beautiful! It’s also super stroller and kid friendly. There’s restrooms, water fountains (a must in this heat and humidity), paved paths, a bridge, mini waterfalls, and ponds with tiny inhabitants!
Ezra loves the bridge and looking at the turtles and koi fish.
The garden also gives me some beautiful views to build my camera skills… I promised I’ll continue to work on them didn’t I? 😛
Elsa’s personality is quite different from Ezra’s loud silliness. She’s so stoic except towards me and great-grandma, sometimes Daddy too. 😛 There’s been awkward public moments where strangers try to coax a smile out of her but she returns their attention with silence and, what my husband calls, her stank eye. LOL.
Her usual face…I promise she’s friendly even though she don’t be looking like it. 😛
Me and my momma hairdo–a bun.

Have a great weekend everyone! We’ve got rain in the forecast here in Houston (which is my favorite weather–I’m weird) but I know most of yall like some sun (not a fan of da heat; I’mma melt).
